Just as in the case of Egersund, VEO’s previous project for Luxcara, the Bjerkreim cluster is built together with the project developer Norsk Vind Energi. On the Norwegian wind market, Norsk Vind Energi is an experienced and trusted project developer for foreign investors with a dynamic growth strategy. VEO is experienced in working with international stakeholders, fulfilling international project and contract requirements. The Bjerkreim project is especially interesting for the sheer scope of the project:
“We were able to take on the full electrical responsibility of a project of this scale as we have the solid experience and strong project management skills. We are very pleased with the contract as it confirms the trust we have gained in the wind market,” says Viktor Forss, Managing Director at VEO AS.
Several signed contracts in the Norwegian wind market
The Norwegian wind power market is growing rapidly. The increased investments in the market are likely to continue for the next years, offering proven suppliers as VEO interesting and challenging opportunities. VEO has for a long time been present in the Finnish wind power market and is now able to utilize its proven concepts and know-how in larger Norwegian investments. At the end of 2017, VEO signed wind electrification contracts for Hennøy wind farm (60 MVA) and Marker wind farm (55 MVA) and has several large projects in the pipeline to be announced later this year.
