On Tuesday the 24th of April, the Prime Minister of Finland, Juha Sipilä, paid a visit to VEO’s headquarters and factory in Vaasa.
A panel discussion with representatives of the Vaasa energy cluster was arranged as the Prime Minister had expressed his wish to meet with energy cluster representatives in the region.
During the factory tour, Sipilä was eager to learn more about the key elements of successful internationalisation and growth. He was taken on a tour around some of our workstations and given a short introduction to VEO’s operations. As a result of this, he was very impressed with the know-how and strong growth of VEO. The Mayor of Vaasa, Tomas Häyry, was also present during the factory visit. He was pleased to tell Sipilä the good news: the Vaasa energy cluster is expanding, which means we need more talented people!
After the tour, the CEO of VEO, Marko Ekman, continued discussing questions related to the energy industry in a panel discussion with Sipilä and representatives of media. Other eminent companies in the energy field, such as Arcteq, took part in the conversation too.
