VEO has renewed its highest degree classification in occupational safety and accident prevention in Finland
This is the second year in a row that VEO attains the highest level. In all, there were only 28 companies to reach the highest level this year.
The common nominator for all companies reaching the highest level is continuous improvements made in occupational safety, such as established – and regularly implemented – safety practices familiar to all employees. This means that matters concerning safety at work are made visible and part of the everyday life at work. Moreover, all accidents are investigated thoroughly and reported appropriately.
The classification system is based on three different requirement levels, which are granted by the forum Nolla tapaturmaa (‘Zero accidents’), coordinated by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
