First delivery of VEKE MV switchgears equipped with Hyundai circuit breakers

VEO delivered 12 cubicles of VEKE medium voltage switchgear equipped with Hyundai circuit breakers and REF protection relays to Metsä Tissue paper mill in Mänttä, Finland.

The delivery also included 27 cubicles of 110 VDC push-in fuse type switchgears and a 110 V battery set and chargers. The switchgear known at the site as 20D is replacing the mill’s old outdated switchgears. Remote control interfaces for the switchgear were also part of VEO’s delivery.

Metsä Tissue’s Mänttä mill produces toilet tissues, baking papers and handkerchief tissues with 5 paper machines and 19 paper conversion lines. With a staff of 580, the mill is the biggest employer in Mänttä.
